What Equipment Is Needed For Strength Training
If your objective is specifically to increase your strength then you are going to need to eventually use weights. However it is possible to increase strength dramatically by only using your bodyweight. As you get stronger only using your bodyweight you will eventually need to use weights to continue gaining strength.
The experts will all agree that the fastest way to increase your strength is by doing squats and deadlifts in order to develop your core strength that you can call on whenever you need it. If you are training at home and do not want to join a gym then investing in a squat rack as well as a barbell and some weights is a good idea.
If you cannot afford a squat rack or a bench then you can also improve your overall strength by just using a barbell and weights to do weightlifting movements like clean and press, clean and jerk or clean and snatch. All of these movements will dramatically increase your strength as you increase the weight.
It is all about planning just like eating correctly you need to plan ahead so that you can eat 5 times a day. If you are training at home and starting with your own bodyweight then it is recommended that you plan your workouts so that you know what movements you are going to do before you start training.
If you are on a very limited budget then you should first invest in one 10kg kettlebell which is something that you could use to increase your strength with by using the standard kettlebell training moves that you will easily find available online for free.
Building strength takes time and you need to be patient and train on a regular basis. You could easily just start off with one kettlebell and as you get stronger you can invest in more weights and purchase a barbell. The barbell can be the cornerstone of all your strength gaining movements.
