  What is 1 Rep Max?

One Repetition Maximum. This is the WEIGHT you can perform an exercise with ONCE. Using a calculator is usually the best and safest way to determine your 1RM, based on the amount of times you can lift a less heavy weight.
 

How do I measure my 1RM?

Use the calculator to approximately work out what your 1RM is. After your warm up, use a weight with which you can perform less than 10 repetitions before you reach failure. Fill out those numbers on the left and click Calculate to find out your 1 RM.
